Charming Spanish chest from Catalonia, dating from the 18th century. Its structure is simple and sturdy, crafted using traditional joinery techniques and fitted with original wrought-iron fittings. The proportions are balanced and functional, designed both for everyday domestic use and for display within the home, whilst the surface has acquired a deep, layered patina through prolonged use. Signs of wear, surface irregularities and traces of historical use are consistent with its age and contribute to its authenticity. Spain, circa 18th century.
