19th-century French display cabinet in natural wood. The piece is distinguished by its original blown-glass panes, still set in their period frames, and by the chalky, time-worn patina that covers the interior. The upper section, divided into two glazed doors with triple-glazed transom windows, sits above a solid base with two panelled doors, revealing a design of great functional clarity. The moulded frame and the natural grain of the wood, left exposed and free of ornamentation, complete a understated and refined silhouette. France, 19th century.
